Looking for an address in Google Maps today, I noticed another new feature. Google Maps just gets better and better.
Over recent days, we've seen the 'zoom in' feature appear in 'Street View', the ability to select an item on the screen and focus in on it.
Today, the 'User Photos' thumbnail appeared. It allows you to toggle between a photo from taken by the Google Street View cameras, or a photos taken by a user. The user photos come from the Panoramio site, so long as they are marked with latitude and longitude.
Articles on the web suggest this feature has been available since Febuary, but I only noticed it today. That may be because the 'User Photos' feature only appears there are photos in Panoramio, and its only today that I happened to search something that had a user photo, in this case, Viaduct Harbour, or Auckland Museum in the picture below.
