Report from Microsoft Partner Conference 2009 

When the worldwide economy crashed (Microsoft say the economy has been “reset”) Microsoft undertook research to understand what was consistent about the companies that succeeded in throughout recessions over the last 200 years.  They concluded that businesses that prospered :-
    • Stuck to their core vision
    • Invested in marketing, and backed themselves
    • Had great salesmanship.

In terms of Kinetics, this means that we need to stick to our goal of helping our clients to make their IT work for them.   This has been something we’ve been emphasizing within our business all year, and I’m interested in feedback on how successful we are being.

Our vision is helping our clients to succeed by ensuring their IT delivers meaningful outcomes, and acts as an enabler for the business to achieve its objectives.

·         we need to go further when deploying solutions, providing handover where we show clients how to use their new systems to meet their needs

·         we need to go back to clients with established systems to see how they are getting along, and to assess opportunities to further use or build on their existing IT to be more effective.
