We’ve been talking to our friends at Teleconsultants, and they’ve developed a new service to help SMEs get better value from their Telecommunications spend. International research shows that 7-12% of Telco charges are incorrect while up to 85% of invoicing is simply signed off without checking. Smaller companies have the same problems as the larger corporates with phone company billing – and they can’t afford it!
That’s where
Teleconsultants can help. Here are a few examples :-
A mid-sized accountancy practice with an annual spend of $50k. We removed excess capacity and negotiated telco rate reductions to achieve an annual $16k saving – and as a bonus we managed to claw back an additional $26k in refunds from overcharging.
A small 10 person law firm. TeleConsultants recommended a reduction in suppliers from 4 to 1, relinquished un-needed PABX trunks, negotiated new telco calling rates and consolidated Internet, mail and web hosting with a single ISP. Annual savings of $10k were achieved with ongoing management being greatly simplified
The New Zealand operation of a large multinational with a $350k spend engaged TeleConsultants to see if we could trim down their spend. TeleConsultants found plenty of opportunities among the head office and 6 branch offices to minimise usage and reduce rates with an annual $50k+ of savings. We also advised them on options available with their head office PABX which was coming out of contract term.
A mid sized law firm with 30 odd staff and a $100k spend. We were called in to advised on a PABX replacement, but even while doing this we found an unexpected (to them) $13k annual reduction not associated with the PABX. Experience counts.
A niche manufacturing firm with around 20 staff and a $60k spend across 4 suppliers. We saved $3k annually by relinquishing unused lines and consolidating the number of suppliers.
