Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p92QfWOw88I for a sneak look at Windows 8.  It shows an interface that combines ideas pioneered on Windows Phone 7 alongside tried and true concepts from Windows7.  "Touch" is mainstream now,and Windows 8 looks like it will give a consistent user experience fron your mobile phone, slate (ipad-style device) and PC.

As someone who has always liked touch - tablets and so forth, I'm really excited by what the video shows.  It tells me that Microsoft is back, their software is cool again!
